Ben Shafer began Shafer Electronic Solutions in 2007 in the Midwest after spending ten years working as an electrician. He gained great experience in residential, commercial, and agricultural work. Although he enjoyed working with high voltage, he was also interested in low-voltage. He began to notice a great lack of those who offer these services to customers in the Midwest. Many requests began to be made for help with their home networks, business networks, security systems, and even wifi. Wanting to meet the demand and help out his customers he began to help every client he could. This is when SES was launched officially. Twenty years later, Ben Shafer works with his three sons, who have also learned the trade along with multiple other crews around central and Eastern Nebraska. Every technician who works for SES is vetted and trained to maintain the level of service people have come to expect from SES. Having a last name in the business name means reputation and integrity are on the line every time services are provided. High standards of expertise, trust, and convenience are three values that drive all staff members. All customers are considered long-term relationships and are treated as such.

Shafer Electronic Solutions has a vision to continue to expand its services in the Midwest and Western Iowa regions in the next five years.
